"Queen’s Hall Arts is thrilled to be embarking on an exciting new partnership with Kunstverein Zeitz, a vibrant arts organisation based in Zeitz, Germany.
Supported by this funding, the partnership will open up fresh opportunities for creative exchange, bringing together artists, freelancers and communities to share ideas, spark conversations and build lasting connections through the arts.
We are especially delighted to be taking our work to the annual arts festival in Zeitz, where we will present House of Hexham and celebrate the start of this inspiring international collaboration."

About the partners
Queens Hall Arts
Queen’s Hall Arts (QHA) is the charity that manages Queen’s Hall Arts Centre in Hexham, Northumberland (pop.12K). As one of the few multi-disciplinary arts centres in the region and of only three in Northumberland (pop 316k), QHA prides itself on devising and delivering a quality programme across all art forms and for the full breadth of the community. QHA co-creates for people of all ages and abilities to engage with culture by attending performances, participating in activities, and/or using our building to showcase their own work and talents. In 2024/25, we welcomed over 102,000 attendances, including 6,500 participants in creative activities and 2,500 school attendees. We presented more than 730 performances, exhibitions, and workshops, and engaged a further 30,000 people through outreach across the Tyne Valley and beyond.
Our mission is to be the creative heart of the community, delivering great arts experiences and supporting professional and aspiring artists. www.queenshall.co.uk
Kunstverein Zeitz
Kunstverein Zeitz e.V. is dedicated to fostering contemporary art and cultural exchange in a region undergoing heavy social and structural transformation. We revitalise the post-industrial town of Zeitz through contemporary art, cultural exchange, and community participation. We (temporarily) transform abandoned buildings into spaces for creativity and dialogue, bringing new life to a region in transition. Our programs engage children, young people, and residents in collaborative artistic projects that connect local heritage with European perspectives. By fostering creativity, inclusion, and cultural regeneration, we strengthen social cohesion and imagine new futures for rural communities. www.kunstvereinzeitz.de
