LETTERS FROM HOME´s aim is to deepen creative, social, and intercultural connections between Bristol and Hannover, and the communities we live in.

For young dancers, this project will hopefully build confidence, strengthen transferable skills, and help to develop cultural awareness and resilience.

For the involved communities, we want to create opportunities for people of all ages and abilities, including school children, young adults with learning disabilities, and older residents, to participate in and influence the creative process.

Let´s experience dance as a powerful tool for connection and cohesion across borders!”

RISE Youth Dance and Freizeitheim Linden

Letters From Home is a Tier Two partnership.

About the partners

Freizeitheim Linden
Freizeitheim Linden is a district-based community and cultural centre operated by the City of Hanover since 1960 - it is the oldest of its kind in Germany. We are part of a broad Stadtteilkultur-network and provide facilities and programs for social, cultural and educational activities. By this we offer opportunities for residents from Linden and above to develop skills, engage in cultural life and contribute to the community. Freizeitheim Linden cooperates with several local (artistic) organisations, educational institutions and civic groups to support cultural exchange and democratic participation. Through our programs and partnerships, we contribute to strengthening neighbourhood life and fostering an open, diverse and inclusive urban society. Freizeitheim Linden - Hannover.de

RISE Youth Dance
RISE Youth Dance provides high-quality contemporary dance training for young people aged 6–19 in Bristol. Our mission is to empower young people through dance, helping them reach their full potential as artists and individuals. We deliver classes, workshops, and creative projects with professional artists, placing collaboration and inclusion at the heart of everything we do. A distinctive feature of RISE is our youth-led approach; members contribute to artistic and organisational decisions, developing leadership, responsibility, and confidence. www.riseyouthdance.com
